Abbyshire Place is known as a premier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with a holistic approach to your care and treatment.

At Abbyshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we offer a full calendar of activities that includes outings, recreation, crafts, and religious services. And there is always ample time for making friends, reading, or just talking over old times. This approach helps each of our residents participate in life to the fullest extent possible. We are dedicated to meeting a wide range of personal and medical needs with care and compassion. That level of concern is reflected everywhere, from the attractive surroundings to the way we get to know and respect the needs of each and every resident and patient. We take pride in offering the little extras that mean so much and make life pleasant. A Focus on Family Needs

We believe that each resident's family is as much a part of that person's care team as the doctors, nurses, and other specialists on our staff. That is why family members are an integral part of our care-planning process. We know that family members who have just placed a member in a residential facility have special needs too. To help them cope, we offer support meetings, pre-admission interviews, and personal meetings with administrative staff. Families are welcomed and encouraged to attend social functions, or just stop in and visit. We consider you an important part of the fabric of life here.

We had a wonderful time taking our residents to Traveling Bricks: An exhibition made entirely of LEGO bricks! 🧱✨

From intricate designs to creative displays, the exhibit sparked joy, conversation, and plenty of smiles. Outings like these create meaningful experiences and lasting memories for our residents—we’re so grateful for the opportunity to explore together!💙

Happy MDS Day! 💙

Today we’re celebrating our amazing MDS Coordinator, Valerie Valerie Cooper Mays !

Valerie has been a valued part of the Abbyshire team for 2 years, and her dedication truly shines through in everything she does.
She says Abbyshire feels like home because of the overall environment and being part of a team that genuinely cares about the best interests of our residents.
If she had to describe Abbyshire in one word it would be Friendly. And we couldn’t agree more!
Valerie chose long-term care because it has always held a special place in her heart. Starting in LTC at just 18, she explored other areas but ultimately found her way back, because, as she says, LTC is home.
Her favorite part of the job is the great team she gets to work alongside!
When she’s not at work, Valerie enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and caring for her plants, and baking up something sweet.
Thank you, Valerie, for your compassion and commitment you bring to Abbyshire every day. We appreciate you!
