Have you ever noticed your body relax before your mind catches up?

That's not random. The brain and body are in constant two-way conversation, and a lot of that conversation happens in ways most of us were never taught about.

Nina Joy Rizzo teaches a workshop called "Introduction to The Electrical & Energetic Brain to Body Connection" at Hands That Hear You. NCBTMB certified.

A quiet question for the bodyworkers out there:

When was the last time you worked with a touch so light it would barely move a coin sitting on the skin?

Cranial Sacral Therapy is famous for working at roughly 5 grams of pressure, lighter than most people think can possibly be "doing" anything. Yet practitioners often describe it as some of the most powerful work they offer.

Nina Joy Rizzo teaches an Introduction to Cranial Sacral Therapy at Hands That Hear You. It's NCBTMB certified for CEs.

Three words that might be new to you: dural, osseous, sutural.

Dural - relating to the dura mater, the tough membrane that wraps your brain and spinal cord.

Osseous - relating to bone.

Sutural - relating to the sutures, the thin joints where the skull bones meet.
All three layers can hold tension. All three respond to skilled, attentive touch.

Nina's "Advanced Cranial-Sacral Dural, Osseous & Sutural Releases" is a workshop for practitioners with a foundation in this work who want to go deeper. NCBTMB certified.

Your nervous system is, at its most basic level, an electrical network.

Every thought, every movement, every sensation runs on tiny electrical signals firing between cells. When that signal flow is clean, the body tends to feel clearer too.

That's the territory Nina's "Introduction to The Electrical & Energetic Brain to Body Connection" workshop lives in.

Taught by Nina Joy Rizzo, LMT, CST-T - NCBTMB certified workshop at Hands That Hear You.

The cranial bones, the sutures that connect them, and the Dura that lies underneath all work together. Most people don't think about it until something in that system stops moving the way it should.

Nina's Advanced class takes a three-part approach to the same region. Osseous releases work directly with each of the cranial bones. Sutural releases focus on the sutures that link them. Dural releases work with the Dura itself.

Coming up May 1–3, 2026 in the Village of Oak Creek.

Most people think of the skull as one solid piece. It isn't.

The human skull is made of 22 bones, joined at thin lines called sutures. Those bones have very subtle motion, and that motion matters more than most people realize.

This is the territory Cranial Sacral Therapy works in the gentle movements of the skull, spine, and sacrum.

Nina Joy Rizzo (LMT, CST-T, Registered Associate Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy®) teaches an Introduction to Cranial Sacral Therapy workshop at Hands That Hear You. It's an NCBTMB certified workshop.

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a subtle form of bodywork that pays attention to something most people never notice: the gentle rhythm of the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord.

If you've ever wondered how a light touch can actually do anything, this is where it starts to make sense.

Nina's "Introduction to Cranial Sacral Therapy" walks you through the history of the modality, the Craniosacral System itself, and hands-on self-perception labs so you can feel what you're learning instead of just hearing about it.

The next one runs April 25–27, 2026 at the Sedona School of Massage. Full details are on handsthathearyou.com.

This is what it looks like when you truly listen. Hands gently cradling the head, tuning in to the craniosacral rhythm. It's quiet work, but the shifts can be life-changing.
