This picture sums up what we’ve been working towards for over a decade now.

All the sacrifice.

Hard work.

Struggles.

All so we can enjoy these little life’s moments with our girl.💛

…and the reason I choose to work a side hustle as a sahm. Cause if I can contribute $ something—anything—to have more moments like this…
then to me it’s all worth it.☀️🤍

Any fellow moms out there working a side hustle too? I’d love to hear from you, what blessings has it brought to you and your family?👇

Raise your hand 🙋‍♀️ if you invested thousands into your college education.

Raise your hand if you used your college education.

Raise your hand if you are now a full time parent at home currently not using your education.

Same.

It’s amazing how easy it is to dream big when we’re 18 years old. To imagine getting our degree, and walking off into the sunset with our shiny little diploma and our fancy new job.

I don’t know about you, but that feeling lasted all of about 3-6 months??

Then I got the fancy new job…

Which wasn’t at all fancy, or fun, or worth my educational investment.

And since the bigger plan was for my husband and I to grow our family & me stay home with the kids… I often wonder if the thousands I spent on my education (that I no longer use) was really worth the investment.

Now… don’t get me wrong… I believe in investing in ourselves.

I believe in education.

I believe in chasing your dreams.

But not at the expense of drowning yourself in debt with no real way of getting out of it until you’re damn near retired.

^That’s not living. ^That’s not the dream.

But look, you’re a millennial too, so you were fed the same bs story…

“You have to go to college to be successful.”

“You have to get a degree in business, science or tech to be successful.”

Great… sooo I have to go into debt for a degree I’m not passionate about, to live a life I’m not excited about?

Hmmm, something seems off here..??

What about pursuing our PASSIONS? Investing in our INTERESTS? Expanding our knowledge on what we’re CURIOUS about or SKILLED at?

I don’t necessarily regret going to college, but I do wish I had explored other possibilities first…. I could have saved myself a lot of time & money had I known I’d be working a business that required next-to-nothing in comparison.

What’s your experience with college? Did it turn out the way you expected/hoped?

Your life is too precious to live in a state of worry, self-doubt & pain from the past.

Someone once told you that you weren’t good enough. That you wouldn’t be able to do that thing you wanted to do.

And your subconscious took that and held on to it for years.

Without knowing it, you’ve applied it to many situations in your life. And it’s held you back from experiencing joy, love, excitement and passion.

What if I told you that you could?

That you could dream big, try something new, do the thing that excited you?

The majority of my life I let fear dictate how I lived, and it stole my joy.

And after years of dedicated work to heal my mind & heart… I don’t feel like I have to live in the shadows anymore.

And you deserve that too.

And I’m talking especially to my sahm’s. Because despite what some may think, you’re not “just” a mom. You are a super human.

and I know all too well that being a mom is a full time job & it will always be my greatest joy, but it’s not all that I am.

And if you’re stuck in that feeling of self-doubt or uncertainty, wondering where you fit in this life now because you’re at home with the kids all day, I can help you find your purpose & passion outside of motherhood.

If you want to learn how you can partner up in life & business with me, have something of your own that makes you excited to jump out of bed every morning, then comment ❤️ and I’ll reach out to you.

Not every transformation can be seen on the outside.

The biggest transformation I’ve had (besides becoming a mother) is the transformation I’ve made in my mind.

I used to think that things were happening “to me”. That I was a victim of my life circumstances.

That because of the family I was born into, or our socioeconomic status that I’d always only be capable of a certain level of success.

Two things I learned:

1. Each person can have their own definition of success — and it could look completely different than someone else’s.

2. You have more control over your life than you ever realized. Certainly there are things that happen that are out of your control — and it’s good to become aware of what is and what isn’t.

However, I often see people holding on to certain narratives that they have about themselves (usually these were things that were told to them from someone else about who they are)
Ex: you’ll never amount to anything, you’ll always be that way.

So we subconsciously hold on to these words as truths, and it holds us back from becoming the person we were meant to be.

The truth is… you are capable of anything you put your mind to.

But it isn’t until you let go of the hurt you felt from the past, that you can step into the person you truly ARE. The real, genuine, authentic you.

And the beauty of it all, is that when you do shed all those layers of negativity, self-doubt, criticism & pain, you open the door to joy, peace, hope, and excitement for all the opportunities life has to offer.

This is the work I’ve spent years processing, understanding and applying to my own life & circumstances.

And it’s funny, because had it not been for the company I partner with strongly encouraging this type of self-growth, I’m not sure that I ever would have found it on my own.

I’m grateful to have that kind of working partnership, and to be a part of a company that truly cares about the well-being of each of their team members.

What vision do you have for your life?

What do you dream of doing? Becoming? Owning? in 5 years…10 years?

You may have casted a vision a few weeks ago & made hefty goals, but are you doing the things required each day to get you to that end goal?

If you need to, get refocused — get clear on what you want, where you see yourself going.

Ask… Am I showing up as a person who achieves these goals?

Am I taking the necessary steps to be the mom, the wife, the entrepreneur that I want to be?

If you’re not, ask yourself what you need to change in order to show up as her.

Sometimes it’s as simple as getting organized, or having a plan.

Sometimes it takes a deeper reflection.

This is part of the process I take you through when you become a member of my soulful wellness studio.

Because too often I see people setting goals and forgetting about them 6 weeks later.

I’ll help you change the old patterns you got stuck in, so you can become focused & clear, and start seeing results toward the life you desire.

If you’re struggling to stay on track with your health, fitness or personal goals… message me or comment your favorite emoji below and I’ll reach out to you.❤️

Early on in my marriage life was BUSY… like really busy.

At one point my husband was working full-time, part-time at another job, and had a full-time undergrad class schedule.

Then he went on to get his doctorate in optometry (another 4 years) — there were times when he was at the school from 7am - 11pm (for classes and studying).

He did a residency (another year) and was on-call every other weekend — we lived 2 hours apart during that time. That was a tough year.

I’d like to say once we graduated, got jobs, and finally “settled in” that things got less busy, but I don’t think it did (especially after having a baby).

You can imagine that all of this ^ can put a lot of strain on a marriage.

And it did. But we made it through all because of…

VISION (no pun intended, but it IS pretty punny)

Seriously tho, we began our relationship with a very clear vision for what we wanted our future to look like.

Everything that took place in between, the years of hard work, commitment and sacrifice was all because of this future we saw for ourselves.

I heard a quote once that went something like this, “if you don’t know where you’re headed, you’ll waste your time going nowhere.”

I’d say we are living out our dreams right now… but honestly, we never stop dreaming.

We still have dreams of building our own house.
Of owning a cabin by the lake so we can enjoy summers the way we believe you’re meant to.

We dream of traveling to far away places and exploring all that this world has to offer.

And while it’s fun to dream and cast visions for your future, it must be met with determination, hard work, & sacrifice.

We still have a long way to go before those dreams come to fruition.

And as a stay-at-home mom there’s only so much you can do to contribute to your family financially.

Which was why I was grateful to have the opportunity to monetize the work I was doing in my health & fitness and share with it other mom’s who needed it too.

My dreams don’t just stop with my family though — I also dream of the impact my team and I can make in people’s lives with this business opportunity.

I posted this in my Soulful Wellness Studio, but thought why not share it here too?

Rest day / self care day!!💜💜

Lately I have been really going inward on what I need to feel like the best version of me.

In the past I have struggled with self-care.

Honestly.

And I think it’s because I never felt worthy of it. Like, in order to have a self-care day I needed to “earn” it.

And was what I was doing each day good enough to earn some ‘me’ time?

Crazy right?

But these are the real-life thoughts that go through my head, and I’m sure many of us have had similar feelings at some point.

I always say I am a work in progress.

We call it a journey for a reason - there really is no beginning or end. It’s how we want to feel in each and every moment.

Striking balance between the go-get-it-girl in me and the one who needs quiet ’me’ time will always be something I’m working on.

But I know now that I’m always worthy of it, and I never have to earn it. Because it’s my birth right to feel good.💜💜

Ps. It’s your birth right too.😘
