These demodex mites are common, but when their numbers grow they can cause Demodex Blepharitis, leading to dryness, itchy lids, redness, and crust debris at the base of the lashes. 👀

This video shows what an eyelash mite looks like under magnification.🔬

If you have chronic eyelid irritation, dry eyes, or “collarettes” around your lashes, demodex may be the cause.
