HEALTHY TIPS OF THE WEEK!

BEFORE SHOVELLING SNOW, SLEDDING, SKIING, SKATING.
Here are some healthy tips on how to prevent injuries.
Stretching is critical.

Cold muscles are prone to muscle strains and tears.
Warm up the body before going out in the cold.
Dress in layers, thermos, gloves,scarf, coat, hat, socks, boots,and of course pants and top.
Some of these moves to do before going outside:torso twists, head and neck rolls, hands, wrists, feet , and ankle circles.
slow moves include marching in place, side bends, lunges, arm circles, and shoulder circles.
don't get dehydrated. water, water, water.
and take your time.NO FALLING!!

CPR certification went incredibly well for New Journey and those who participated. Learning skills such as life-saving techniques are incredibly valuable and we are very grateful that Nick Wyma from our local fire department and EMS services was able to offer his skills and teach the class. Thank you for your time and effort and we look forward to the next class!

Eileen Patterson just completed her master's degree in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2025! Eileen is a dedicated and adaptable professional with over 15 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, and fast-paced work environments, combined with strong academic training in writing, education, and creative instruction. Eileen demonstrates exceptional communication skills, leadership, conflict resolution, and a strong commitment to helping others learn, succeed, and feel supported.
