Five years.

There’s something about hitting this mark that makes you pause for a second.

Not just to look at what’s been built, but to think about all the people who have been part of it. The conversations, the trust, the small moments that end up meaning more than expected.

This space has never just been about skincare. It’s about care in a much bigger sense, and that only exists because of the people who continue to show up and be part of it.

So truly, thank you.

To celebrate five years, I’m currently offering 20% OFF all Eminence products and am raffling off a free facial at the end of the month. Each purchase gets you one entry for the facial - you may enter as many times.

Winner will be drawn on 04/30/26

20% off Eminence Organic Skin Care

To celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Sanctuary Big Sky, I'm offering 20% off all Eminence Organic Skin Care products now through April 21st. Order online at Sanctuarybigsky.com for pick-up or free shipping. If an item is out-of-stock or not listed, please text me & I'll order for you. 406-219-8353 Thank you for being a part of the continued success of this little homegrown business.

There are a number of new items in the online shop including Kate McLeod waterless lotion bars; beautifully packaged for gift-giving. The Sleep Stone has taken my interest in particular with its soothing aromas of lavender and eucalyptus. I've expanded my Korean skin care section with the addition of Dermathoud & Corthe cleanser, spicule serum and collagen gel pads. I'm still obsessed with the serum like Korean sunscreen that gives such a gorgeous glow and spf 50.

SIV care serum has also been re-stocked in time for allergy season; this serum has proven to be a game changer for anyone experiencing or wanting to avoid inflammatory skin conditions such as perioral dermatitis, random breakouts, rosacea flares, eczema, and dry out-of-balance skin. It is safe for all ages, can be used as a treatment or as a part of your microbiome friendly daily skin care routine.

I'd love to see you for a facial, brow wax or product consultation. Let me know how I can help. Happy Spring! Amy

Just came in.

This is one I recommmed for anyone dealing with dryness, sensitivity, or skin that just feels a little off.

It’s designed to support the barrier, bring water back into the skin, and help everything function the way it’s supposed to again. Not heavy, not complicated, just consistent support where your skin needs it.

A good option for Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation or Grads if you want to give something that actually makes a difference over time.

Stop in or message me to set one aside. I also offer free shipping if you’re located outside of the area!

We’ve gotten way too used to seeing ourselves up close, all the time.

Zoomed in, overanalyzing, looking for things to fix that no one else would ever notice.

And the truth is… it changes how we see ourselves.

It makes everything feel like a problem.

But your skin was never meant to be viewed under a microscope every day.

It’s allowed to be textured, to change, and to just be.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do for your skin…
is to stop staring at it so closely.

This past month has given me a lot of moments to pause and reflect.

Like many people, it would have been easy to let my mind spiral into everything that feels heavy right now. There is so much happening in the world and in people’s lives that can leave you feeling overwhelmed.

Instead, I tried to be intentional with where I placed my attention.

I found myself thinking about the people who have shaped my life. The mentors, teachers, and quiet guides who asked so little of me but gave so much through their presence, their wisdom, and the way they lived.

Those reflections brought both tears of sorrow and tears of gratitude.

They reminded me that even in difficult moments, there is still so much goodness worth carrying forward.

This month, more than anything, reminded me to stay present, to stay grateful, and to continue showing up for the people and work that mean the most to me.

And for that, I feel incredibly thankful.

One of the most common things I hear is someone saying a product “didn’t work,” when in reality their skin simply hasn’t had enough time to respond.

Skin renews itself through a cycle. For many women in their 40s and 50s, that cycle can take close to two months from the time new cells begin forming to when they reach the surface.

That means real, visible change rarely happens overnight or even within a couple of weeks.

If a product is causing irritation, breakouts, or doesn’t feel right for your skin, that’s important feedback and it may not be the right fit. But when it comes to seeing improvement, consistency and patience are essential.

Healthy skin is usually the result of steady support over time, not quick fixes.

One of the things I see often is people trying to “fix” their skin by adding more and more products.

It’s an understandable reaction. When something changes, the instinct is to correct it quickly. But skin is constantly responding to signals from both inside and outside the body—stress, environment, sleep, hormones, light exposure.

Sometimes when skin feels reactive or unsettled, it’s not asking for more intervention. It’s asking for a little less pressure.

Understanding skin as living tissue changes the conversation. Instead of assuming something is wrong, we can start asking what the skin might be responding to.
That shift alone often leads to better decisions for long-term skin health.
