Tinnitus is defined as the experience of hearing sound without an external, acoustic source. While it is commonly referred to as “ringing in the ears,” tinnitus can also be described as buzzing, hissing, whistling, swooshing, and clicking.

Wondering what speech and language skills look like around age 3? Here are some helpful developmental norms to keep in mind:

✔️ Follows 2-step directions (get your shoes and bring them here.)
✔️ Asks simple questions (What’s that?)
✔️ Uses plurals like birds or toys
✔️ Uses word combinations (“I want juice)
✔️ Answers questions like “What do you do when you’re sleepy?” Or “which one can you wear?”
✔️ When speaking, they are about 75% intelligible to unfamiliar listeners
