The VLB Texas State Veterans Homes provide affordable, long-term nursing care for Texas Veterans, their spouses and Gold Star parents. Conveniently located across Texas, each first-class facility is designed to enhance quality of life with a clean, caring and dignified setting appropriate to those men and women who have served our country with honor. Ombudsman Resource Information: A long-term care ombudsman helps residents and family members of a skilled nursing facility resolve complaints. Help provided by an ombudsman is confidential and free of charge. To speak with an ombudsman, a person may call the toll-free number 1-800-252-2412.

On Memorial Day, we held a beautiful ceremony to honor our fallen heroes at the Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home.

We had a cookout and hosted a car show for our Veterans to enjoy. There was also a flyover, and our WWII Veteran was awarded a quilt of valor.

Thank you to everyone who helped us with this special event to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made Valentine's Day special for our Veterans last week.

In total, our home received 2,960 Valentine's Day cards!

Thanks so much to Angels Care Hospice for coming out to our Veterans Home and hosting a wheelchair wash day! Our Veterans and staff had a great time and they love showing off their sparkling clean wheels🦽

The American Veteran Traveling Tribute & The Traveling Wall will be on display for Veterans and the public on April 3 and April 4 at Lamun - Lusk - Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring. The display includes the 140-panel Traveling Vietnam Wall, the Afghanistan & Iraq Warrior Tribute, the 9-11 Tribute and much more. We hope you can join us.
