The winner of our raffle for half a pig (sponsored by pioneer meats) is David Doldberger! This was announced on the 20th at the Brewfest, unfortunately, I have not been able to get ahold of him. It seems as if the number I was given is not working. If anyone can help me get him the message it would be most appreciated. If we can't get ahold of him for another week or so the raffle winner will be redrawn. Thank you!

Huge shout-out and thank you to Pioneer Meats for sponsoring the Community Health Department's booth at the farmers market this year!! They have donated half a pig to us, which we are raffling off at no cost. Enter our free raffle by stopping by our booth. We also have free stickers, water, coloring sheets, and stress balls. I mean, who doesn't love free!? In addition to that, we are providing community education on local resources, mental health, and all the things our department does. We are here to answer questions. Come on down and find out how we may be able to help (or just stop by to say hi and enter the raffle.) 😄 Winner of the raffle will be announced on August 20th at the Brewfest market.

I encourage you to take a moment from your day and watch this video. Then take a deep breath, really ask yourself how you are feeling. Check in with a friend you've noticed has been withdrawn lately. Though asking questions about mental health can feel difficult, it is an easy way to help someone you care about.

For too long, farmers and ranchers have been trying to cope with increasing levels of stress on their own. The Farm State of Mind campaign encourages convers...

Hello Sweet Grass! We want to introduce ourselves as your Community Health team.

We're sure many of you already know Dan Tronrud. He is a lifetime resident of Sweet Grass County, and proudly served as sheriff for 20 years before retiring in 2019. Now he is Sweet Grass Counties first Community Health Worker, where he acts as a case manager for everyday folks who need a little extra help. When asked his favorite thing about Big Timber, Dan replied “the people that live here.”

Grace Foulk is also a lifetime resident of Sweet Grass. She grew up 45 minutes out of town up the Boulder Valley, and graduated class of 2020 at SGCHS. Now she is the administrative assistant for the Community Health team, handling tech support, correspondence, and attending to client services. When asked her favorite thing about Big Timber, Grace replied “That small town magic...and the hiking trails.”

At Community Health, we serve as a bridge between person and care. Whether you are in search of therapy, psychiatry, food assistance, or just need a helping hand – we are here for you! It is our passion and intention to improve mental health, lower deaths by su***de, and provide as many resources to community members as possible. Our office is located at 115 West 5th in the Annex. You are welcome to visit but also please feel free to call us (406) 932-4135
