For me, the quote below resonates deeply, especially after navigating through months of carbon monoxide poisoning exposure right before the pandemic hit
Meet Marlene! She is with our Outpatient department!
"You have to break down before you can breakthrough".
Marlene Upchurch Licensed Addiction Counselor, is the evening IOP counselor. She has worked as an LAC for 4.5 years with 4 of those years being with Rimrock Foundation. Marlene is a recovering addict, and she believes her purpose is to give back and help those with addictions find stability in their early recovery. Marlene is also a recovering codependent and is a strong independent woman who enjoys witnessing people with codependency find their independence and self-worth. Her passion is teaching others about codependency, boundaries, self-esteem and negative core beliefs. She is an encouraging and kind counselor that will hold people accountable in a kind and loving way. As she helps people navigate through early recovery. Marlene enjoys 'soul food' which to her is seeing addicts find recovery, build the lives they always dreamed of and reunite with family. She is very family oriented; her family is her world. and she enjoys any time she is able to spend with them. Addiction is hard. Recovery is hard. Choose your hard.
