With team members based in Billings, and Glendive, LIFTT provides people with disabilities with programs and services that help empower them to break down the physical, bureaucratic, and cultural barriers that prevent them from being fully independent participants in their lives and communities throughout 18 counties in southeastern and southcentral Montana: Big Horn, Carbon, Carter, Custer, Dawson, Fallon, Garfield, Golden Valley, McCone, Musselshell, Powder River, Prairie, Richland, Stillwater, Wibaux, and Yellowstone. Some of the art being made in LIFTT's Acrylic Painting Class. The class is made possible through a Creative Aging Grant from the Arts Council.

The class will meet for seven more sessions on Tuesday mornings from 10-11 a.m. at the Billings LIFTT Office (1241 Crawford Drive and we still have room for a few more to join us!

Eating healthy shouldn’t be daunting, it is DELICIOUS! 🤤 If you aren’t getting excited to eat your meal, you need to change up your recipe. DM us for recipe ideas!

Tips for making your meal tastier and heart-healthy:
1) Season it up! Fresh or dried herbs add a lot to the taste of dishes.
2) Choose the air fryer over pan fry. It requires a lot less oil and adds a perfect crunch!
3) Switch up your veggies. Sometimes we get burnt out by using the same veggies every week. Did you know that you get different essential nutrients from each veggie? Variety can help change up your meals and add to the taste.
4) Make smart swaps. Trade out the andouille sausage for lower-cal, lower-fat chicken sausage. Trade sour cream for Greek yogurt to add more protein and lessen the fat content.

Weight loss may be on your mind this New Year. You may have tried everything in the book, but that number on the scale doesn't seem to budge. There are many other ways to succeed in achieving better health that isn't just a number- your clothes may fit better, you have sustained energy throughout the day, or it may be easier to fall and stay asleep. In turn, it's the small and consistent habits that tend to be linked to stubborn fat.
