The Power of Play Outdoors

🍁 Wellness Wednesday Reminder 🍁
Fall is a beautiful time to encourage outdoor play! 🍂 Fresh air and physical activity can boost your child’s mood, lower stress, and improve overall mental health. Whether it’s jumping in leaves, going for a walk, or exploring a pumpkin patch, outdoor activities can be both fun and healing for children. 🌳

Let’s prioritize playtime this season for a happy, healthy mind!

🌟 What a busy day yesterday! The amazing management and staff from Lowe’s Billings arrived bright and early before 7 AM to transform our playground. They removed our old, unsafe playhouses and tore out the outdated artificial turf, making way for something new and safe!

A semi-trailer of sand and dirt was delivered, along with fresh mulch, and the team worked hard to landscape the area and lay down new outdoor turf. They even arranged for a large dumpster, which is now completely full!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have two new picnic tables and will soon have two new playhouses (one is on order). The playground is looking fantastic and, most importantly, is much safer for our children and families.

A big thank you to Lowe’s staff! Look out for a small Lowe’s sign at the playground gate to commemorate this amazing transformation! 🙌💚

Mental Health Monday – Building Emotional Resilience

Supporting children’s mental health means helping them build emotional resilience. Encouraging your child to express their feelings, providing a safe and open space to talk, and modeling positive coping skills are key ways to foster emotional strength.

At FSN, we’re dedicated to helping children develop these skills so they can navigate life’s challenges with confidence. If you’re looking for ways to support your child’s emotional well-being, our mental health services are here to help! 💖

Celebrating Kathy Dillman’s 23 Years of Service!

Today, we honor Kathy Dillman, who is retiring after an incredible 23 years of dedicated service to Family Support Network. Kathy has been a vital part of our mission, making a lasting impact on countless families and children in our community.

She and her husband, Rick, have been long-time supporters of FSN, always going above and beyond to further our cause. Recently, we had the pleasure of celebrating their contributions with a special dinner in their honor.

Kathy, your passion, commitment, and kindness will be greatly missed. We wish you all the best in your retirement and thank you for all you’ve done for FSN. Enjoy this next chapter—you’ve earned it!

Helping Families Raise Healthy Children

Family Support Network changes families one visit at a time.

FSN programs promote development of healthy parent-child interactions to interrupt the multi-generational cycle of abuse, neglect, hopelessness, poverty, and drug abuse.

Family Support Network is a member of the Supervised Visitation Network, a multi-national non-profit membership organization that is literally a network of agencies and individuals who are interested in assuring that children can have safe, conflict-free access to parents with whom they do not reside. Some of the children who need these services live in foster homes or with relatives. Some live with one parent who is estranged from the other.
