Our Story
Sandstone Counseling Services, LLC is a private mental health therapy practice in the Billings, Montana area. The aim, at SCS, is to provide quality therapeutic intervention and custody consulting. SCS is located in the heart of downtown Billings, in the historic Old Chamber of Commerce building, across the street from the Yellowstone County Courthouse. SCS is owned and operated by Jesse J. Harris, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). Jesse earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University and has worked with a diverse population. She has worked with SED (seriously emotionally disturbed) youth and their families in various settings throughout Billings, including Day Treatment and School Based Services. Jesse has also worked, in her practicum, during her schooling with hospice, Yellowstone County court, and residential/group home youth(s) and their families. Jesse is a member in good standing of the NASW (National Association of Social Workers), APA (American Psychological Association), and the AFCC (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts). She is also currently working to become a certified DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) clinician through the Linehan Institute. SCS would love to help those who are interested in helping themselves, their children, or their families. Recently, SCS was able to bring in Malissa Steffes to share space and forward thinking. She also works with children and adults. She is a member, in good standing, with NASW. Malissa does custody evaluation and works for Community Based Services in Billings, as well.
