Navigating the mental health field can feel overwhelming when every credential, license, and scope of practice seems to speak a different language. This roundtable facilitator will be creating space for honest conversation and clarity around licensure pathways, professional roles, and understanding the differences within the mental health profession.

Meet Emily Lenehan, MA!

Emily is a graduate student counselor dedicated to fostering safety, connection, and empowerment in the spaces she serves. Grounded in a trauma-informed perspective, she brings authenticity, curiosity, and compassion to her work with others.

She is passionate about supporting teens and young adults, honoring their stories, and creating environments where individuals feel seen and valued. Emily believes in the healing power of healthy relationships and each person’s capacity to reclaim autonomy and meaning, striving to live and work in alignment with her values and community.

The future of the mental health field depends on more than good clinicians! It depends on leaders willing to guide, encourage, and invest in the next generation. This Bridging the Gaps Conference speaker will be exploring how mentorship can shape emerging professionals into confident, capable leaders who will strengthen the future of our field.

Meet Jaycee Baird, PCLC!

Jaycee will be presenting “Cultivating the Next Generation of Leaders: From Clinician to Mentor” and will also be facilitating a Roundtable around the topic of telehealth.

Jaycee recently earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University, with a concentration in trauma. She is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment and meeting clients where they are, using a whole-person, body-informed approach to healing.

Jaycee has experience working with children and young adults in residential mental health settings. Her clinical interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and the integration of art and play therapy, an approach influenced by her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Montana State University.
