If you don’t use your prescription drops properly then they don’t work! In most cases prescription eyedrops require regular use, not “as needed”, but that of course depends on your eye condition. If you have glaucoma or dry eye disease and are on a prescription drop, then regular use is typically vital to having a good treatment outcome. If you aren’t sure how your drops should be taken, talk to your eye doctor! Proper medication adherence is very important whether it’s eye drops or other oral medication.
