Aging does cause certain changes in the eye such as presbyopia (age related loss of near vision) and it also increases the risk of certain eye diseases. Having said that, don’t just assume that as you age you will lose vision. I have many patients in their 90s with excellent vision (after cataract surgery). Screening eye exams starting at 40 years old can help with early detection and prevention!
