Baking soda as a cleanser❓👀

TikTok is at it again… So let’s break it down.

Baking soda is a natural exfoliant, which means it can help to remove dead skin cells and improve the appearance of your skins texture. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce redness and irritation.

So why the heck shouldn’t you use this if you have oily, acne prone skin?🤔

Baking soda has a pH level of 9, which is higher than the pH level of your skin at 5.5.

Baking soda can be irritating and dry out the skin because it’s disrupting the skins natural PH balance… You want to have a low PH for bacteria (below 5.5) which only acids achieve, not baking soda.

BHA or betahydroxy acids at a low PH can kill 99% of all acne producing bacteria!

So… Would I recommend baking soda as a good cleanser? No❌

You’ll find yourself needing to purchase MORE products to correct the dryness, irritation and redness than you would if you put that money towards a medical strength Betazyme cleanser to get the job done RIGHT🙌

AVOID ❌ this TikTok trend!

This viral product called Permatan and similar companies should be banned.

Keep scrolling if you see it‼️

Permatan is a sublingual drop(s) or a nasal spray that enters your bloodstream and mimics your melanin stimulating hormones which stimulates melanogenesis to make you have a tan.

They say it’s a natural product, by converting your natural amino acid Tyrosine via the enzyme Tryisinase… So what’s the problem? It’s “natural”.

Everything about it is the problem‼️
What they’re not telling you is this product is an unregulated hormone-mimicking product that has short-term and long-term side effects.

✔️ There has been no safety testing.
✔️ Increases your risk of melanoma (aka skin cancer).
✔️ Ingredients that could cause reactive oxygen species (which helps you prematurely age).

Love the skin you’re in! The risk is not worth the reward.

Stick to your clean ingredient self tanner and get 15 minutes of daily sunlight☀️
