🚨 Hayley, one of our Emergency Department nurse educators, just earned her CEN certification! Fewer than 3% of nurses nationwide hold this credential, so she can consider herself part of the elite now. Congrats Hayley! 🎉

💚 The Grinch tried to steal Christmas, but his plans were thwarted! 🎄

On Christmas Eve, Cindy Lou Who, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and even the Grinch made their rounds, visiting staff and patients and spreading smiles, laughter, and plenty of holiday cheer.

And don’t worry—when the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes, we had it checked. No cardiomegaly here—just pure holiday spirit! 😂❤️

🌼DAISY Award🌟

Congratulations to Jennifer, our latest DAISY Award recipient. Jennifer works on South Tower 3, one of our cardiac telemetry units. Her compassion and quick thinking embody what nursing is all about. While off shift on the unit, she helped a family member of a patient who was visiting by stepping in, engaging with empathy, and de-escalating a stressful situation, bringing calm to everyone involved.

Another family member wrote, "She was a great interactive listener and showed genuine interest in him."

This moment reminds us that nursing isn't just about caring for the patient while they are in the walls of a hospital. It's about supporting the entire network around them, including family members. Jennifer's actions reflect the heart of nursing: compassion, connection, and holistic care. 💚

Let’s give a big congratulations to Jossy, one of our amazing nursing assistants on our pediatrics unit! ✨🙌

A colleague nominated her saying, “Jossy is always the first person to lend a helping hand. I know that when I am working her I have the support I need as a nurse.”

Jossy represents what teamwork looks like on the unit. Every member of the care team plays a vital role in out patients’ healing journey, and her dedication, positivity, and reliability prove that great patient care happens when we support one another.

Join us in congratulating Jess, Madison, and Rachel, who recently earned their Certification in Emergency Nursing and now get to say that to their patients!

These rockstars can handle everything from “I think my kiddo swallowed a Lego” to “There’s something up with my arm after wrestling my pet raccoon” 🦝💥
