He would swing for hours and hours. He could swing as high as the sky! That's autism. Jeffrey went to this park in Binghamton every single day. It's all he wanted to do. Then one night in 2011, a random violent stranger walked up to his house and lit it on fire. Everyone BUT Jeffrey made it alive. He was probably hiding. That's autism. The arsonist was not found and charged until last year, 12 years later!
Help give his mom the peace of mind that the arsonist stole by renaming this park so she can see his name next to the swing he so loved.
Anyone from anywhere can sign this petition so we can bring it to the City of Binghamton Council for a vote. Thank-you.

Call your legislators, all of them, both sides:
There is NO WAY that NYS saved any money on the transfer of CDPAP services over to a nationally-based MCO such as PPL. Who, by the way, pays for things like a 2-hour MD level telehealth intake assessment in addition to a 2-hour RN level intake assessment (just for fun asking the hospitals and other providers - who has the bandwidth to have an MD level provider sitting on a telehealth call with a disabled individual and their family answering questions about whether or not we really need the services), along with the addition of Mobile Health as a company for screening of employee's health, plus pay a facilitator who used to serve as our FIs, such as FLIC, STIC, etc. and on and on and on. This whole thing SMELLS OF FRAUD! How about this? NYS gives the money to Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Substance Use and Developmental Disability providers instead? And raise the minimum wage for the personal care aides with the money! Do anything with it except spend it on a money making MCO like PPL. We as families are fed up. We want our children to be safe, healthy and not be used for capitation rates! Link for the latest in the comments.
