Reiki 🤲 and energy healing 💫 work by communicating safety to the nervous system.
When the body perceives safety, it naturally shifts out of chronic fight or flight and into the parasympathetic state. This is the state where rest, digestion, repair, and integration can occur.☮️
Rather than forcing change, Reiki supports the nervous system in slowing down. The breath softens. Muscle guarding releases. Stress hormones begin to settle. Over time, this creates more capacity for regulation, emotional resilience, and presence in the body.🕊️
Many people experience this as a quiet grounding. Less reactivity. More space between stimulus and response. A greater ability to return to baseline after stress.
This is why Reiki can feel subtle, yet deeply supportive. It meets the body where it is and allows healing to unfold at a pace the nervous system can actually integrate.
