Journeying with Jazz I am going to document my journey to be “cured”... What is sickle cell? Sickle cell is a genetic blood disorder that affects the red blood cells (RBCs).

The RBCs are shaped like a “sickle” or crescent moon. They are very sticky and rigid unlike normal RBCs. Sickle Cells can cause blockages in blood vessels causing severe pain.

Goodmorning! So I’ve been dealing with anxiety for as long as I can remember. It’s recently gotten a bit worse. I’ve always pulled at my hair. Even as a child but it’s never been as bad as it is now. I usually pull at the hair in the back but in the last few months I’ve been pulling the hair in the front creating 2 baby bald spots. So now I’m on a journey to stop the pulling and grow back the hair in the front. This is my truth. I’m just being open and vulnerable about it.
