My prayers and condolences to the Johnson family and all of those who have experienced loss due to battles with mental health .
Mental health is real and it does not discriminate -please check on those that you love and care about . Sometimes there are no signs or indications but here are just a few subtle things to make note of that could go unnoticed but may signal a quiet cry for help
✅ sudden shift from frustration to calm
✅ the phrase “I’m just tired” the context is key
✅ mood changes - overly affectionate or suddenly distant
✅ deflecting - refusing to talk about themselves
✅ over extended - constantly stressed
✅ extreme emotional highs and lows
✅quiet withdrawal- slowly pulling away from connections
What can you do to help someone you love - ( seek a professional- these are just my personal thoughts) You also have to consider the strength of the relationship
☀️be observant- don’t diagnose
☀️initiate spending time with them - give them space to open up when they are ready
☀️redirect the focus to them if you see them deflecting
☀️lighten their load
☀️offer to seek professional help together
☀️show love and compassion
☀️acknowledge changes without judgement
We all need someone . Life can be complex. We are stronger together 🙏🏾
