Lurena Daniels married Albert Sledge. In 1940, they lived at 848 Hattie Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. Aunt Lurena and Albert had10 children.
Their son Louis Sledge married Eva in Cleveland, Ohio in 1940. This a pretty large family. Their daughter Sally married Isaac Rogers at the age of 14 in 1949. They divorced in Lima, Ohio in 1974. Hopefully, I can connect with a cousin so they can share more about Lurena and her descendants.

Taking a journey back through time to follow the Daniel blood-line through the life of Willis Daniel (1845-1962) son of Mariah and Jack Daniel. Willis married Sallie Mitchell February 23, 1891. The desendants of this marriage will be posted on this thread. The Mitchell family will be posted on another thread. Let's begin with the forgotten son, Isom Daniel who married Callie Jordan on February 24, 1923 in Peachburg, Bullock, Alabama.

Isom was a machine operator with a 4th grade education. They had 3 children: Jesse Belle Daniel, Eva Mae Stewart, and Eric Danield.

I spoke with Isom's son Eric Daniels last year. Cousin Jessie died March 19, 2013. Eric was actually his nephew but was raised as a son to help Isom in his later years of life.

Isom's relatives still live in Birmingham. His grand daughters are Deborah lamar, Lynn Stewart, and Brenda Harris.

Sallie Mitchell was born in May 1868 in Alabama. Her father, Ben is the Patriarch of the Mitchell family. Grandma Sallie had seven children with Willis Daniel. She died on October 11, 1932, in Pratt, Alabama, at the age of 64.
