Lakeshore Foundation is a fitness, recreation, sport, research and advocacy organization for people with physical disabilities located in Birmingham, AL. Lakeshore's Lima Foxtrot programs serve our nation's injured military.

The Lakeshore Sharks and Lakers both had a solid first day of competition at the 2026 NWBA Junior Nationals Championships in West Monroe, LA today. Each team finished the day with one win and one loss and will be back in action tomorrow when the Lakers face the NY Rolling Fury at 10 a.m. and that Sharks take on the WASA Junior Golden Eagles at 12:30 p.m. Good luck, Lakeshore!

Our Lakeshore Force and Charge power soccer teams were back in action earlier today at the Georgia Peach Tournament. Both teams played hard, with the Force finishing the day 2-1. While the Charge weren’t able to end the day with a win, they are looking forward to continuing to work hard towards their next competition.

☀️ Ready for an unforgettable summer? Lakeshore is seeking teens aged 16-18 for our teen volunteer program! Our summer teen interns work in a variety of Lakeshore program areas, including athletics, aquatics, fitness, membership, communications and recreation.

Throughout the summer, you'll build leadership, teamwork and customer service skills, all while learning more about how being active in fitness, recreation, sport and research opportunities is critical for people with physical disabilities and chronic health conditions.
