Research into a new injectable PrEP that was led at the UAB study site by CFAR Members Dr. Olivia Van Gerwen and Dr. Christina Muzny was recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

✔️ Basic Sciences to Impact Clinical Outcomes
✔️ Behavioral Epidemiology and Intervention
✔️ Population Health Prevention and Treatment Research
✔️ Community-Engaged Research

Eligibility Highlights:
✅ MD, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree
✅ No prior NIH R01 or equivalent grant in HIV research
✅ Early-career faculty appointment at UAB (Instructor or Assistant Professor)

📅 Key Dates:
🔴 February 17, 2025: 2-page concept due
🔴 March 31, 2025: Full application due
🔴 May 1, 2025: Notice of Award
