Our Story
                                                                                                                        The UAB School of Nursing is a leader and trendsetter in nursing and health care. It is located at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the state’s flagship academic health science center.  The School is ranked 8th by U.S. News and World Report.  The School’s notables include:
-  Alabama’s oldest and most honored PhD in nursing program 
- One of three Paul D. Coverdell Peace Corps Fellows programs in the U.S. specific to returning volunteers interested in pursuing a career in nursing
-  Designated as a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Center for International Nursing
- Diverse research funding portfolio from sources including the National Institute of Nursing Research, National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Child Health Development, Department of Defense, Veterans Administration (VA), Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA), among others
