BirthWell Partners is a non-profit that makes doula training and doula services more equitable and accessible, in order to improve the health of families and communities in Alabama.

Support shouldn’t stop after birth.

A postpartum doula is there to support you during the early weeks and months after your baby arrives. They provide hands-on, non-judgmental support with things like:

✨ Infant feeding (breastfeeding, pumping, formula, or combo feeding)
✨ Newborn care and understanding your baby
✨ Emotional support as you adjust to life with a newborn
✨ Answering your real-life questions

You don’t have to figure it out alone. We offer free postpartum doula support for families on Medicaid. (Note: Medicaid does not cover the services, we use this as an eligibility guide to determine need)

'Girlll, Me Too' is a welcoming, judgment-free space for postpartum and pregnant moms to come together, share openly, and feel supported. Led by experienced doulas and fellow moms, this group is a reminder that you’re not alone in this season of motherhood.

Black Maternal Mental Health Week is April 11–16 so get a head start by joining our training on Improving Black Maternal Mental Health.

When: Saturday, March 28, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: Zoom
Cost: Free for doulas working with BirthWell Partners, $20 for non-BW doulas

This class will be facilitated by Anjanette Robinson, a Certified Birth Doula and Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor and National Board Certified Counselor with over 21 years of experience.

Big news! 🎉

We are proud to launch our new Postpartum Program! With this program, families will be able to receive extended postpartum doula support for up to 6 months after birth.

The postpartum period can be beautiful, overwhelming, and everything in between. No mom should have to navigate it alone. We’re honored to be able to support families during this important time 💙
