Glenwood leads the state of Alabama in providing autism and behavioral health care services. Glenwood is a non-profit agency dedicated to serving children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other behavioral health needs since 1974. We provide an array of over 30 comprehensive services for children as young as 18 months old up to adults in their senior years, along with their families and caregivers. Glenwood’s treatments and services are creatively tailored to enhance each person’s opportunities for success.

Dr. Mary-Kate Carey, assistant professor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Glenwood’s ABA Research and Training Advisor, joined Alaina Shelton from Glenwood’s Children’s Center as she graduated with her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Seeing mentorship, education, and dedication come full circle is something special.

A big thanks to a group of UAB Med Students who recently joined our residential homes for another fun-filled activity day. Ten of our homes came out to enjoy the bounce castle and slide in the gym. It was a fantastic day of laughter, play, and great participation from our residents.

Today, our Glenwood community came together for a beautiful Christmas program featuring our adults, children, and staff. From heartfelt scripture readings to joyful musical performances, it was a meaningful celebration of the season.

A special thank you to Grace, a United Methodist Congregation, for welcoming us and providing such a wonderful space. We are grateful for everyone who helped make today so special. 🎄
