Rooted Music Therapy has been serving Alabama since 2023. We are a woman-owned & operated private practice changing how rural and underserved communities access Neurologic Music Therapy®.
Through innovative partnerships with Alabama’s major medical systems, community neurologic providers, and allied healthcare professions, we use music to help those with varying abilities access the care they need within and beyond the hospital. From supporting children with autism to maintaining memory for those with Alzheimer's, music helps us keep our brain in its best shape.
Music is a phenomenal tool for neurorehabilitation. Music is processed in over 11 parts of our brain, making it the perfect modality to help us move stronger, think better, and speak clearer. It's exactly why your favorite song makes you run onto a dance floor or why the song played at your prom makes you feel like you're in high school again. Now bring that motivation into healthcare? You see quicker recovery times, maintenance of abilities, and new neural pathways formed.
We think we make the biggest impact because we do healthcare in community. We know medical journeys don’t stop after discharge. Our mobile clinic serves homes, hospitals and community programs. We work with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Social Workers, Pulmonologists, and medical providers to keep our brains and bodies healthy & strong. We believe innovative and meaningful care starts with the music you're hardwired for.
