Sen. Rand Paul just announced he’ll be filing a bill next week to reverse the federal h**p ban — and he’s calling out the alcohol and ma*****na lobbies for pushing it in the first place.

No matter where you stand politically, this is big news. The industry finally has someone speaking up about the massive economic impact this ban would have on small businesses, farmers, retailers, and consumers across the country.

💚 Calm in the Chaos: A Note from Magic City Organics on Veteran’s Day

It’s really never about what the people want, is it?

On a day meant to honor those who served and sacrificed for our freedoms, our leaders are quietly working to take them away. Countless veterans rely on h**p-derived products for relief — for chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, and insomnia. Many have finally found peace without pharmaceuticals that left them feeling numb, dependent, or worse. These natural alternatives have given them back their lives, their clarity, and their sense of calm.

The truth is, Americans are tired — tired of alcohol, tired of overprescribed pharmaceuticals, tired of inflammation, and tired of limited access to plant-based medicine. That exhaustion has fueled a massive shift in nationwide consumption. As soon as safer, natural alternatives became available — especially h**p beverages — we caught the attention of the industries that stand to lose the most.

The recreational ma*****na markets are struggling, the alcohol industry is shrinking, and big pharma’s grip on wellness is slipping. So what do they do? They pour money into politics and push for new laws to eliminate their biggest competitor — us.

I wish I had better news today. The Senate passed a bill to reopen the government last night, but buried deep inside it was language that would ban h**p products nationwide within a year.

⚠️ It still has to go through the House, so there’s time to stop it — but this is the most serious federal threat our industry has ever faced.

Here’s what’s at stake:
Within 365 days, THCa, Delta-8, Delta-9, THCv, CBC, and CBN would all become illegal. The 0.3% THC limit technically remains, but the definition now counts total THC and caps it at just 0.4 mg per container.

That tiny number would effectively outlaw every full-spectrum CBD product — not only oils or tinctures, but every single gummy, v**e, and THC or CBD beverage currently on the market. Everything people rely on for relief, calm, focus, inflammation, or sleep would vanish.

It’s hard not to see this for what it is: a coordinated attempt by powerful industries to crush natural wellness and small business competition.

But nothing changes yet. We have 365 days to fight, and we will. I started Magic City Organics in 2018, when h**p was still in legal limbo — and I’ll keep standing up for access and for the people who depend on these products.
