Hello,

I'm Bionca Lindsey, your President-Elect.

We just completed the 40th Annual Alabama Food Service & Nutrition Expo in Birmingham were our attendees had the opportunity to earn 12 CEUs.

We had guest attend from our National ANFP's Headquarters and they were very impressed with our conference.

Over 45 members and guest to attended and we say, Thank you!

We are soliciting nominations for various positions:
President-Elect, Secretary-Elect and Treasurer Elect, please respond to this email if you are interested in a position.

Current nominees include: Cynthia Ivory-President-Elect, April White-Treasurer-Elect, Cassandra Moore-Secretary-Elect. Thank you all!

We are also in need of another key position to be filled:
Government affairs representative-They will work to educate our elected officials on importance of having certified dietary managers in the various organizations, nutrition topics, organize a day at the capital and much more. Please respond to this email if interested.

I greatly appreciate everyone for all your participation and support for the year that I have served as your president of AL/ANFP Chapter. It has been a great opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with you all. I have learned the important of this chapter and how we make a different. We are growing for a better chapter! Not only does the chapter provide training and education but insight into the most important issues we face by operation of food service industry changes. It gives us the opportunity to share our values to each member. We want everyone to reach their full potential in nutrition and food service resources.

We are gearing up for our 2017-2018 year of our new officers that will be installed on October 12, 2017 at the fall meeting; they are as follows: Lynn Barrentine as President , President –Elect Bionca Lindsey, Secretary Rhonda Stanley, and Treasurer Janice Blackmon, we take our hats off to these new officers. We are looking for an exciting year ahead of us!

Thoughts for everyone: If you ever need a helping hand, it is at the end of your arm. As you get older you must remember you have a second hand. The first one is to help yourself. The second hand is to help others.
