Meet Dr. Tyler Poston, one of our highly skilled urologists.

Born in Washington, DC, and raised in Birmingham, AL, Dr. Poston completed his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, earning a place in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha, one of the highest academic distinctions in medical training.
Dr. Poston completed his surgical training through an internship in General Surgery and residency in Urology at UAB, before joining the expert team at Urology Centers of Alabama.

Dr. Poston specializes in minimally invasive, patient-focused urology, with strong expertise in robotic and laparoscopic surgery, urological cancer and malignancy care, kidney stone management, BPH/enlarged prostate treatment and procedures, male and female incontinence, erectile dysfunction and infertility care, and urinary tract reconstruction.

His work centers on advanced surgical techniques that support precision, faster recovery, and comprehensive long-term care.

When he’s not in surgery, you’ll likely find him enjoying quality time with family and friends, and exploring the outdoors.

The facility has grown over the years from 6,000 square feet and 13 staff members to approximately 32,000 square feet and over 90 staff members.
