Grateful to have spent the last few days learning from some badass women - and working with other badass women- to learn basic carpentry skills while being in the beautiful mountains of NC.
Nadi, Sparrow and Mads were incredibly patient and encouraging, and it was super special to use my father’s tools to work on our individual and group projects 💗🔨🌿🌻🪶

Today, an offering for an Urban Mindful Outdoor Experience with UAB Honors students. It was perfectly timed to align with the stressors that pervade students right now as November and final projects, papers and exams approach.
Grateful for the opportunity to support wellness and offer nature connection as a tool. After all, we are all connected.

Unexpected sacred gifts arrived today.🪶

8 years ago, I walked into a room full of beautiful strangers at Kripalu and one sweet soul sister became a lifelong friend.

This woman has allowed me to experience a sense of vulnerability and openness that has truly been a gift. May we all be so blessed to have such a soft place to land.

I am grateful beyond measure for you When my heart cries out, thank you for sacred friendship that thousands of miles and time can never separate.

The Council of Water and Trees:
An offering led by Micah Mortali, founder of the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership and Amos Clifford, founder of the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy Guides.

My heart is so full and my spirit so refreshed.

Highlights to 4 days with members of my tribe:

Rolling down hills with reckless abandon like a child, feeding a House Wren from my hand, fellowship and community with some of the most beautiful and amazing people on the planet and spending time on the land, creating a sanctuary to represent my time away and singing solo (off key and completely tone deaf) in front of everyone to honor a special place within and to hold someone else who is so special in my heart.

Thank you Andrea Higgins for being a witness to all of it.
