I recently started my new position as a therapist (more to come on that later), and I am so grateful for a schedule that allows plenty of room for my own self care.
As I walked familiar trails this morning, it was impossible not to notice new growth and the light shining through the tree canopy. Lots of little reminders of how we move through our own seasons of change and that the light always finds a way in.
What’s new for you? What are you noticing?

Mindful Nature Walk at RMP this morning. Invitations centered on nurturing, resilience, sanctuary and hope. There are a million examples in nature that can teach us about all of these things.

My own mother’s scent was musky and earthy. It went completely against her personality to go without lipstick and to have her hair done. But she smelled like a forest to me. Mossy and oaky. Leading the walk this morning was about leading others in connection to Mother Earth, but in the small moments in between, I remembered my own sweet mom.

Wishing all the mothers a beautiful Mother’s Day. You are full of hope, sanctuary, resilience and nurturing today and every day. 🌿🌻🌳🪶

MSW complete. I took the long way here, and I wouldn’t change it. The lived experience is the resonance.

Weaving yoga, nature connection, and pottery into this work took years of embodying it in my own life first. Grateful for the mentors and opportunities that recognized it and encouraged me to embrace it as part of my work.

And to my beautiful babies and friends—thank you for being part of this with me.

This class is open to all A’s or anyone thinking (or rethinking) about their relationships to substances. We also welcome those who have been impacted by a loved one’s relationship to substances. The vision and passion are to create a safe space and a sense of community for those on this journey. Movement to Recovery recognizes that there are multiple pathways to sobriety and combines those with the ancient practice of yoga. This class is 45 minute movement-based yoga practice followed by a 20 minute facilitated discussion after savasana. There is an optional social opportunity after the class as well! Stigma and judgment are checked at the door. All fitness levels are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing. Let’s explore a holistic approach to sobriety together!
