Last week, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the UAB HSF Robert B. Adams Cytology Laboratory in Montgomery, Alabama. This laboratory space was donated by the Adams family and renovated by the Department of Pathology as part of the Community Practice Pathology Program.

Gladwin, M.D., Dean, University of Maryland School of Medicine. Gladwin delivered the talk, titled, “Translating Redox Biology to Medicine: Lessons Learned, Taking Risks, and Going NO Where.”

Hometown: Memphis, TN

Favorite thing about UAB: Well-rounded training within both AP and CP subspecialties.

Favorite Residency Memory so far: Our 1st Annual Spirit Week this past May!

Hobbies: Working out, trying new restaurants around BHM, watching/attending football and basketball games (Woo Pig Sooie!), and spending time with my husband, our 9-month-old daughter, and our pup.

Go-to coffee order: Cold brew with Splenda and ½ & ½.

Fellowship: Transfusion Medicine at UAB.
