Honoring Dr. Martha A. Dawson this Women’s History Month ✨

A trailblazer in nursing leadership, Dr. Martha A. Dawson has dedicated her career to advancing health equity, empowering Black nurses, and strengthening communities nationwide. As the Immediate Past President of the National Black Nurses Association, her visionary leadership has left a lasting impact on the organization and the communities it serves.

With over 40 years of experience as a nursing and hospital administrator, Dr. Dawson’s legacy of excellence spans both clinical leadership and systems-level impact. She was also honored as a 2019 inductee of the Alabama Nursing Hall of Fame, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the profession.
Her legacy is a powerful reminder that true leadership is rooted in purpose, advocacy, and uplifting others.
