Today in Taipei, Southern Research is contributing to an important dialogue at the LBI Seminar on Cutting Edge Technologies for New Drug Development.

Our Sr. Director of Global Client Engagement, Fusataka Koide, is presenting insights on “Vaccine Development for Emerging and Re-emerging Viruses – Pre-Clinical Efficacy Models Employed at Southern Research.”

It’s part of our ongoing mission to support global partners with tools and science that help accelerate new treatments and protect public health.

We were honored to take part in the Japan Cancer Association Conference, where international leaders in oncology gathered to exchange ideas and highlight emerging advances in cancer research.

Yesterday, we officially cut the ribbon on our new biotech center—marking a significant milestone in Southern Research's history. This 150,000-square-foot facility will accelerate drug discovery, fuel biotech innovation, and support the area's growing life sciences economy.

We're proud to open our doors and begin this next chapter of impact and innovation.

One of our latest publications highlights Southern Research’s innovative screening approach for identifying new influenza A inhibitors. Dr. Paige Newton Vinson led the high-throughput screening design, Dr. Yohanka Martinez Gzegozewska provided essential assay and compound evaluation support, and Dr. Omar Moukha-Chafiq conducted critical structural and SAR analyses.

Together, they helped identify promising leads for next-generation antiviral therapies.

Southern Research has identified promising antiviral candidates for Influenza A using advanced high-throughput screening methods, published in Antiviral Research.
