Does your shoulder feel tight when you rotate your arm? 🤔🏐
You might have something called GIRD, which stands for glenohumeral internal rotation deficit. It means the shoulder has limited inward rotation.
This is common among overhead athletes, such as baseball, tennis, and volleyball players. Repeated overhead motion can tighten the back of the shoulder and limit rotation.
A recent study found that stretching the back of the shoulder may help improve rotation and reduce discomfort.
Call our clinic to schedule an appointment if shoulder tightness or pain is limiting your overhead movement.
