We want to give a big congratulations to our very own Raymond Billingsley on his honor and recognition from Bham Black Pride for all of his work and support within the community. Congratulations Raymond!

The Education award is given each year to a person who uplifts the lives and narratives of those in the LGBTQIA + community. Raymond, has made a big impact in the city and surrounding areas with his visibility. He ensures that he is seen and heard, while always creating safe space everywhere he goes. At events that he host and within the work that he does he ensures that he reaches everyone in the room, either with a smile, hug or some words. He has a unique way of empowering individuals, and creating a bridge to equity of care. He challenges various stigmas that our community faces and has been noted to always teach, train and/or facilitate in some way with the goal of educating others and we can’t wait to see what else he has planned for the future of the city and the entire state of Alabama.

Tomorrow is the second and final open house for NewCircle and Caleb Clark art exhibit! If you couldn’t make it Wednesday, we hope to see you tomorrow. Don’t miss this opportunity to see this amazing new facility before it opens. Shuttles will be circling Hanover Circle the entire event to comfortably bring you right to the front door.
