Allen Health & Rehabilitation would like to celebrate our Activity Team during National Activity Professionals Week!

Activity teams are vital! They bring joy, purpose, and meaning to the lives of those we serve, and they are the heart and spirit of our community. To thank them, we had a luncheon and gifts for them. Director Kimberly Patterson, LaShaunta Robinson, and Katrina Shamburger were recognized for their dedication, compassion, and creativity they bring to their work. They received the first Difference Maker: plaque for 2026.
Thank you for being a difference maker at Allen!

At Sylacauga Health & Rehab and Spring Terrace Assisted Living, we are happy to honor the hearts behind some of the moments our residents and staff are lucky to enjoy.

We thank Crystal, Stephanie & Mattie for the love, patience, and purpose you bring into the lives of those you serve every single day. Through laughter, creativity, gentle encouragement, and meaningful connection, you turn ordinary days into moments that matter. Your work reaches far beyond activities on a calendar. It brings comfort, dignity, joy, and a true sense of belonging. Those moments, big and small, leave a lasting impact.

We are so grateful for your hearts, your dedication, and the light you bring into our community. ❤️

📸 So honored to celebrate you on Week!

Dr. Patricia K. James, Executive Director of Allen Health & Rehabilitation, received the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health & Human Service Award from the People United to Advance the Dream Mobile Inc. for her 35 years of service in health and human services and keeping Dr. King's legacy moving forward. Charles White, CEO of Franklin Primary Health Center, offered a phenomenal and tear-jerking introduction. The theme for this year's gala was “The Power of Diversity.” Dr. James used one of Dr. King's quotes as a part of her acceptance speech to depict her heart of a servant leader: "Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.”

The Village at Cook Springs was “bowled” over when residents competed on homemade lanes. To make it fair, everyone bowled from a chair. Marie (wearing red) won the game, but they are all winners to us!
