๐Ÿˆ Football is thrilling โ€” but tough on your feet & ankles. Quick pivots, explosive sprints, and hard tackles can lead to injuries that sideline athletes of all ages.

In his latest blog, Dr. Norman E. Waldrop, III, orthopaedic foot & ankle specialist and team physician for the New Orleans Saints, Alabama Crimson Tide & Homewood High School, breaks down four common football foot & ankle injuries โ€” what causes them, warning signs to watch for, and how expert care can get you safely back in the game.

โšก Ankle fractures
โšก Achilles tears
โšก Low & high ankle sprains
โšก Lisfranc injuries

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThe foot and ankle are the foundation for every move an athlete makes,โ€ says Dr. Waldrop. โ€œWhen theyโ€™re injured, itโ€™s important to treat them correctly the first time.โ€
