Quick reminder: your GYN is here to care for your health, not judge you!

We care about your health, your safety, your comfort, and your questions.

We don’t care about perfectly shaved legs, how long it’s been since your last visit, or whether you feel “embarrassed” bringing something up.

Our goal is to provide evidence-based, compassionate care in a space where you feel heard and respected.

What actually happens during your cycle each month?

Your menstrual cycle is more than just your period; it’s a carefully coordinated rhythm between your brain, ovaries, and uterus. Hormone levels rise and fall, ovulation occurs, and your body prepares for the possibility of pregnancy.

Understanding these phases can help you make sense of symptoms like cramping, mood changes, bloating, or shifts in energy and focus.

Swipe for an overview of each phase and what’s happening behind the scenes. 👉

Perimenopause vs. Menopause, what’s the difference? 👀

They’re often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same.

Perimenopause is the transition phase leading up to menopause. Hormone levels begin to fluctuate, periods may become irregular, and symptoms like hot flashes, mood changes, and sleep issues can start.

Menopause is officially diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a period. At this stage, ovarian hormone production has significantly declined and periods have ended.
Both are normal stages of life, but they can feel very different for each person. If symptoms are affecting your quality of life, support and treatment options are available.

Save this for later, and talk with your provider if you have questions about where you are in the transition.
