3 things that happen during the single leg RDL 👇

1️⃣ Hamstrings load and control the knee
Your hamstrings lengthen under tension and help control forward movement of the tibia, giving the knee more stability

2️⃣ Quads stay active to stabilize
Your quads engage to control knee position and prevent collapse, especially in single leg stance

3️⃣ Glutes drive the movement
Your glutes control the hip and produce force to complete the movement

Co-contraction around the knee (hamstring and quad firing together) is one of the reasons I love this movement.
Research shows training hamstring and quad co-contraction improves knee stability and helps protect structures of the knee.
