There’s something special about bringing a team together under one roof — new challenges, new insights and the kind of growth that only happens when athletes and staff push each other to be their best.

A few weeks ago, the USA Archery Para Archery team joined us at SSPC for an assessment camp packed with performance testing, educational sessions and team‑building. It was a full, energizing week, with an ultimate goal for these athletes to gain a deeper understanding of their potential.

We're throwing it back to when the USA Para Bobsled team visited SSPC in October, where we got to chat with Doc Jacobs for the first time. Since then, he's had a pretty busy year - including winning the 2026 US Para Bobsled National Championships and becoming an SSPC Athlete Ambassador! We're excited to work more with Doc in the future and share more of his goals and journey.

This athlete has been funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We're proud to host experiences like this one for VMAA athletes.

Great having Doc Jacobs back at SSPC yesterday! Doc first visited us last year with the Para Bobsled team, and he returned this week fresh off winning the 2026 US Para Bobsled National Championships earlier this month. On top of that, he’s a multi‑sport athlete, advocate and author — and even gifted our staff copies of his book. Proud to have Doc on and looking forward to continuing to work together!

This month (and every month!) join us for a functional mobility class with instructor Aaron Scheidies! Open to anyone who has completed SSPC testing, this FREE class focuses on injury prevention and sport-specific training. It's a great opportunity to learn how to train smarter, not just harder. 💪
