Pulmonary & Sleep Associates of Alabama is closing its practice on July 31, 2023.

After many decades of service at Brookwood, Dr. Sosnowchik has retired. Dr. Wilson will continue to practice pulmonary and sleep medicine as part of the Birmingham Pulmonary Group, affiliated with St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Dr. Wilson will be providing care exclusively at two satellite clinics: the Ascension Clinic in Vestavia located at 200 Montgomery Highway #100, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 (right up the hill from Brookwood Hospital) and Ascension St. Vincents One Nineteen located at 7191 Cahaba Valley Road, Birmingham, AL 35242 (near the intersection of Hwy 280 and Hwy 119).

In addition to Dr. Wilson, Birmingham Pulmonary Group has six physicians and nine nurse practitioners available for your continued care. Starting August 1, 2023 you may call their office at (205) 933-9258 to request an appointment with Dr. Wilson or any of their providers.

If you are an existing patient, your medical records will be maintained at the office of Birmingham Pulmonary Group, 2660 10th Ave. South, St. 528, Birmingham, AL 35205. If you wish to remain a patient of Dr. Wilson’s or be followed by one of the other providers of Birmingham Pulmonary Group, you will not need to arrange for a medical records transfer. However, if you wish to transfer your records to a provider other than Birmingham Pulmonary Group, please call (205) 933-9258 to arrange for the transfer.

Whether you are relatively new to our practice or have been with us for many years, please know it has been our honor to serve as your physicians, and it is our prayer that you will be blessed with excellent health in the years ahead.
