Coding Accuracy Matters

Here's how Aristo RCM can help your Emergency Department:

-Coding Charts: Aristo’s coding team codes charts directly in our secure coding platform within 24-48 hours with attention to accuracy, efficiency, and provider feedback. We adhere to an industry standard of 95% or above coding accuracy rate.

-Charge Export: Charges are exported electronically from the coding platform into our GE Practice Management System which eliminates manual charge entry errors. Claims are electronically submitted to payers within 24 hours. We have established a 98% clean claims rate across all payers.

-Chart Audits: Internal and external audits are conducted to monitor coding and compliance. Applicable feedback is shared with the provider group and to the coding team with opportunities for improvement. Detailed reporting and audits provide downcodes, documentation education, follow-up training, risk identification, and opportunities for improvement which ensures effective communications.

Team Shoutout Tuesday! Meet Harrison Godwin, VP of Finance

Harrison serves as the Vice President of Finance for Aristo and brings nearly a decade of finance & accounting leadership to the table. Previously, Harrison worked in a wide range of industries ranging from healthcare, environmental services, media, and most recently, FinTech and HRTech startups where he was tasked with ground-up development of accounting & finance teams. In addition, his consulting firm provides consulting & advisory services for small to mid-cap business. Harrison’s focus is on building and maintaining strong finance functions to enable business to scale efficiently and rapidly. Harrison attended Auburn University and lives in Birmingham with his wife and two boys.

Aristo utilizes an aggressive AR strategy to ensure revenue targets are met efficiently and effectively. Aristo averages a 98% clean claims and EDI acceptance rate within our clearinghouse as part of our GE Centricity platform. We also utilize a target of six days discharge to bill, typically it will span four to eight days to accommodate weekends. Other key performance indicators we monitor include:

-AR Aging
-Days in AR
-Percentage of total billed
-Percentage by payer group
-Percent of AR by aging bucket
-Denials by payer, type, provider
-Gross and net collection percentages
-Collections per patient
-Credit balances targets are less than one day average charges, less than 50% of industry standard
