We are so grateful for the generosity of TumTum Tree Foundation and to be one of the beneficiaries of $1.9 million they raised this year. Every year, the TumTum Tree Foundation raises money to support organizations that help children across Alabama. This year, we were one of the 17 organizations they supported, specifically benefiting The CHIPS Center and Hemonc Fellowships at Children's of Alabama.

The holiday season is here, and while it can be a fun time for families, there are some things that parents need to consider. Jessica Pescatore, the clinical director of the Alabama Poison Information Center (APIC), says families should watch for hidden dangers, which can range from holiday décor to holiday cleanup. All medications should also be put away and out of reach of children.

Always remember: the APIC offers free, confidential poison information and treatment recommendations to the public and healthcare providers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call the hotline at 1-800-222-1222 for poison advice for all ages.
