What an honor to have Les Wolgram as our current practicum and intern student. He is earning his degree through Townsend Institute, where they offer a Christian education to acquire skills to help people struggling with things such as depression, anxiety, relational problems, or addictions on a deep level.

Les Wolfgram offers compassionate, relationship-centered counseling for individuals (18 years and older), couples, and families seeking healing and lasting change. He specializes in premarital counseling, family dynamics, relationships, grief, anxiety, and family-of-origin concerns. With 34 years as a parish pastor and 28 years as a volunteer emergency services chaplain, Les brings deep experience supporting people through life’s most challenging moments. He provides a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported while also gaining practical tools for change. Grounded in a Christian perspective, he integrates faith for those who desire it, offering hope, healing, and restoration of mind, body, and spirit.

We are honored to welcome our newest counselor in Bismarck, Jasmin Yoder, who is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Get to know her: She provides compassionate, client-centered therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, and ADHD. She understands that life can feel overwhelming when stress becomes constant, emotions feel heavy, or past experiences begin showing up in the present. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.

Jasmin works with adults who may feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, burnout, self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, or sadness that will not lift. Many of her clients appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, disconnected, or weighed down internally by grief, trauma, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together. In therapy, Jasmin helps clients build practical coping tools while also addressing the deeper roots of what they are carrying.

Her approach is grounded in warmth, respect, and collaboration. Jasmin believes therapy should be both supportive and purposeful—helping clients gain insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier patterns aligned with their values and goals. Whether a client is processing a major life loss, healing from trauma, managing ADHD symptoms, or seeking clarity and emotional stability, Jasmin offers steady guidance and evidence-informed support.

For clients who desire it, Jasmin also offers faith-integrated therapy. She meets clients where they are in their faith journey and incorporates spirituality in a way that feels safe, respectful, and meaningful. Jasmin recognizes that faith can be a powerful source of healing, comfort, and strength, and she honors each individual’s beliefs without pressure or assumptions.

Jasmin provides therapy services in Bismarck, with options for in-office sessions and telehealth. She is committed to helping clients feel more grounded, resilient, and connected—supporting them as they move toward healing and lasting change.

What is EMDR?

Well, imagine your brain is like a filing cabinet. When something really upsetting happens, sometimes your brain doesn’t “file” the memory properly. It gets stuck and keeps bothering you — like a drawer that won’t close. EMDR helps your brain reprocess that memory and “file it away” so it doesn’t cause so much stress anymore.

How does EMDR work?
You talk briefly about the memory (you don’t have to go into great detail). While you think about the upsetting memory, the therapist asks you to follow their finger with your eyes, or they might use tapping or sounds from side to side. This back-and-forth movement helps your brain process the memory in a healthier way. Over time, the memory becomes less upsetting. You still remember it, but it no longer feels as painful or intense.

Our trained counselors, Emily, Sara, or Jeri, can facilitate EMDR therapy with clients who are experiencing difficulties due to:

-PTSD
-Childhood Trauma
-Abuse
-Grief and Loss
-Anxiety and Panic Attacks
-Depression
-Phobias
-Low Self-Esteem/Negative Self-Beliefs
-Chronic Pain
-And Other Emotional Difficulties

Fun fact!
Since 2016, over 7 million individuals have been successfully treated by a network of EMDR therapists spanning 130 countries.
