As you age, I feel one of the most important things you can do is stay active and exercise. Now exercise is different for everyone, if you have not exercised in a long time or never, now is the time to start. It is never too late. You can still find benefits at any age. This is a picture of my parents who are in their late 70's and they bike all over the country, doing multiple day rides. My mom did not start riding bike till she was in her 60's. She is a prime example of it never too late to start or learn something new.

Although I was educated in using conventional medication to treat disease, and yes, modern medicine has changed and saved millions of lives. I believe the food we eat has such a profound difference how we feel and our health. I am a proponent of a whole food based diet. I found this book a great read and changed how I looked at life and food.

Very interesting article on the the weight loss associated with these medications. Although these drugs have had great results helping people lose weight, they do have a downside besides cost.

Clinical trials have generated impressive data on the effects of GLP-1 agonists on body weight and BMI, but how do these drugs perform in terms of body composition?
