Speedy Red Lentil Soup with Lemon (Vegan, Gluten-Free)

This cozy, hearty lentil soup just happens to be vegan, and is so flavorful you will never guess it takes less than 30 minutes to make.

1 large stockpot

INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp olive oil
1 large yellow onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 stalks celery, diced
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
6 cups BONE VOYAGE BONE BROTH
1 15 oz. canned, diced tomatoes
1 cup dried red lentils
1/2 organic lemon, thinly sliced
Kosher salt
1/4 tsp Fresh cracked black pepper
Fresh parsley, for serving
INSTRUCTIONS

Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
Saute onion, garlic, and celery with a 1/2 teaspoon of salt for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add in cumin, coriander, red pepper flakes, and a few cracks of pepper and cook for 60 seconds more.
Add canned tomatoes, vegetable stock, sliced lemon and lentils to the pot.
Stir well.
Cover the pot and bring soup to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes until lentils are cooked and the flavors have deepened.
Taste for seasoning and add salt if needed.
If you'd prefer not to eat the lemon slices with their rind (I always do), remove them now.
Serve ladled into shallow bowls, sprinkled with fresh parsley.

I got this recipe from New Day Whole Health !

Dr Jill’s Ginger Chicken Noodle Soup
7 cups Bone Voyage Bone Broth
2 tablespoons organic olive oil
1/2 clove garlic or 1 tsp of freeze dried garlic
1/2 cup white onion chopped
1/2 cup organic Italian parsley
1/4 cup organic cilantro
2 Tsp chives chopped
2 sprigs basil leaves organic chopped
1 Tsp thyme organic chopped
1 tsp ginger root organic chopped
1/4 cup whole lime juice squeezed
3 tsp sea salt
4 whole carrots organic sliced
1/2 cup red bell pepper organic chopped
2 chicken breasts organic cooked and cut into chunks
1 package of organic rice noodles or
2 cups broccoli slaw for noodles( Taylor organic broccoli slaw is recommended) add 2 cups

Combine all ingredients and simmer on low heat for 60-90 minutes or until veggies are soft and flavors blended… enjoy 👩‍🍳

Borscht Soup

Grass-fed organic chuck roast
1/3 cup pickling spice
2 bay leaves
1 large onion
Celery tops
2 Tblsp REAL salt
1 Tblsp Cinnamon

Simmer to make broth 12 hours at the last 30 minutes add the 6 beets unpeeled

Strain

Add the following ingredients in to the broth on stovetop

32oz organic whole tomatoes with the juice ( I can my own)
1 cup green beans ( from my friend Laura’s garden)
6 organic carrots sliced
1 small head of cabbage chopped
1 bunch fresh dill chopped
6 beets peeled and diced add these in at the last 30 minutes
1 cup organic corn ( I got from my friend Nikki)
2 cups peeled and diced organic red potatoes
1 cup frozen organic peas
Shred the beef chuck roast and add back in for added deliciousness 🧑‍🍳

Bring to a slow simmer add salt and pepper to taste … enjoy!!!

Bone Voyage Chili Recipe 🧑‍🍳

1 Lb grass fed- organic ground beef
32oz Bone Voyage Beef Bone Broth
1/2 onion chopped
1 cup baby Bella mushrooms
1 cup red bell pepper chopped
3 jalapeños chopped
1 can organic black beans
1 can organic red kidney beans
1 can organic Garbanzo beans
1 can organic white navy bean
1 cup red lentils
1 tablespoons of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of REAL salt
1 Tablespoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Ground cumin

Brown ground beef and onion then strain
Add remaining ingredients to crockpot and simmer until veggies are soft I like to really slow cook in all the flavors so I usually do 4-6 hours in the crockpot .

Bone Appétit | About Us

When I felt sick and my gut needed support, I was told about the benefits of bone broth. I tried multiple broths, but I couldn’t tolerate the smell, much less the taste. This recipe came from a family tradition we called Sunday Soup. Sunday Soup brought comfort and many smiles around the table. I thought- why couldn’t that be the base for my bone broth recipe? Using the spices from my grandmother’s soup and the bone marrow, I have perfected a bone broth that has assisted in my healing. I shared this broth with friends and family and the response was so positive.

People began reaching out for its healing properties and Bone Appetit was born. My hope is that every sip fights for balance in your body and brings you closer to health and happiness.
