Larger implants may be the desired look for some, more women are choosing implants that are subtle. Most women are just looking to feel more confident in their skin and fill out their clothes a bit better.

❌The scar will be ugly...❌
Every surgery will leave a scar. The scars from breast augmentations, however, usually heal exceptionally well, resulting in extremely faint scarring. The location of the incision will also affect scarring!

❌You’ll look how you want right away...❌
You wont walk out of the OR with the breasts you were envisioning immediately. Muscles tighten during surgery, so your implants will sit higher on your chest and maybe even look a bit weird - but this is only temporary! Your muscles should relax and your implants will settle nicely onto your chest after a few weeks!

❌All breast implants feel fake...❌
This may have been true in the past, but implants have come a long way! Silicone implants, for example, tend to feel natural much faster than saline implants. Placement and existing breast and muscle tissue all play a part whether implants feel natural. Implants under the muscle feel more realistic since there is more natural tissue over the implant. The size of the implant is also important. Larger implants often don’t feel as authentic as smaller ones, since there is a higher tissue-to-implant ratio. Over-filled saline can feel particularly firm, although some prefer this look.

❌Breast augmentation is painful...❌
Recovery is relatively straightforward. You will typically feel a minimal amount of pain & will obviously experience some discomfort, it’s nothing that can’t generally be alleviated by ibuprofen. Most people are up & at 'em the next day!

Dr. Honeycutt, M.D. is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and has been in private practice since 1994 and has been in the Bismarck-Mandan area since 1997. We believe that all our patients women and men are on a similar journey; to look and feel their best, while living their healthiest and most youthful life. At Advanced Surgical Arts Center, Dr. D’Arcy Honeycutt and her team are standing by to learn more about your unique goals, aspirations and expectations. She strives for excellence and perfection and takes pride in changing people’s lives and increasing their self-confidence.

Dr. Honeycutt specializes in cosmetic surgery of the breast, face and body such as, breast augmentation, breast reduction, gynecomastia, breast reconstruction, breast lift (mastopexy) mommy-makeovers, tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), brow lifts (blepharoplasty), face, forehead and neck lifts, brachioplasty (arm lift) and liposuction. We also offer the SmartSkin CO2 laser for the face, neck and chest.

We offer many different surgical and non-surgical procedures. We also have a full time Nurse Injector, Laser Nurse, CoolSculpting specialist and an Aesthetician. We carry a full medical skin care line.
