Millions of people suffer from joint and muscle pain due to a lack of flexibility or a limited range of motion in a certain joint or series of joints. For example, if you’ve ever suffered from back or knee pain, this can be a result of tight muscles in the legs and hips. And many factors affect your flexibility, including age, s*x, lifestyle, joint structure, activity level, and past injuries.
Having good flexibility will prevent injuries from occurring during activities like running, walking, gardening, or even something as simple as bending over to pick up something off the floor. My goal here is to show you a series of stretches that you can work into your daily (or weekly) routine.
The One Massage Approach is a unique fascia-based therapeutic massage method, focused on the latest scientific discoveries and research in healthy fascia. Connective Tissue (fascia) is changing our view on fascia anatomy in the medical community, and therefore treatments of orthopedic and chronic pain conditions.
The skeletal system, the muscular system we are familiar when we go see a doctor the fascia system isn’t new in our bodies but it is new to being studied in the main stream medical community. The fascia connects the skeletal system to the muscular system. This is why fascia is sometimes referred to as connective tissue. It connects everything together, holding together the human body. The fascia is the 3-D spider web of fibrous, gluey proteins that binds those cells all together in their proper placement.
Fascia is one of the keys to unlock chronic pain and orthopedic conditions that are causing may people to experience a decrease in overall health. In fact, fascia has been relatively ignored, it doesn’t show up on MRIs, CT scans or x-rays. Therefore, imaging may not show the whole picture. At One Massage Float Clinic, we see fascia as the road map to creating success to solving puzzling chronic pain.
